Dr. (Prof) Puneet Mishra is all throughout an alumunus of prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College and was Ex-Professor, Orthopaedics at University College of Medical Sciences & GTB Hospital, Delhi. He has over 18+ years of experience in Orthopaedics from National and International institutions of academic excellence. He has undergone clinical fellowship in HIP PRESERVATION under Professor Reinhold Ganz at University Hospital, Inselspital, Bern, Switzerland which primarily comprised of detailed study of femoral head vascularity encompassing anatomical principles of “safe” Surgical Dislocation of the hip for (a) management of labral lesions and correction of femoral head-neck offset due to Impingement of hip; operative treatment of slipped capital femoral epiphysis (Modified Dunn procedure); sequalae of Perthes disease (b) operative management of complex acetabular and pelvic fractures (c) Joint preserving proximal femoral osteotomies, Periacetabular Osteotomy for residual acetabular dysplasia (d) Total hip arthroplasty for unsalvagable hip joint pathology due to severe osteoarthrosis, malignant tumors etc.; Reconstructive pelvic surgery for malignant bony tumors of the pelvis. He also underwent a clinical fellowship In Adult Complex Primary and Revision Total Joint Arthroplasty of Hip And Knee at Endoklinik, Hamburg, Germany, which is one of the centres of excellence for arthroplasty in the world. He specializes in complex periarticular fractures and knee arthroscopy for sports injuries. He has been a regular faculty at national and international forums on Orthopaedic Trauma, Pelvi-acetabular fractures and Hip preservation and has conducted CMEs, workshops and seminars in these special areas of his keen interest, both in North India and abroad.
